NETmundial concludes in BrazilThe NETmundial conference on the future of Internet governance and cooperation concluded last week with the publication of the NETmundial Multistakeholder Statement.

Four out of five RIRs at 'last /8' of IPv4ARIN's recent announcement, coupled with the Latin American registry, LACNIC, reaching its final pool of IPv4 addresses in
March, means that four of the five RIRs globally have now reached their final '/8' block of addresses. |

OECD publishes new paper by Geoff HustonThe Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) Committee for Information, Computer and Communications Policy has published a new paper by APNIC Chief Scientist, Geoff Huston, examining the current impact of global IPv4 exhaustion and the state of IPv6 deployment. |

Event wrap: WTDC 2014The 2014 World Telecommunication Development Conference was held in Dubai from 30 March to 10 April. This event was a key opportunity to meet with government representatives from the Asia Pacific to discuss IPv6 training and development in their economies. WTDC also provided APNIC with the chance to participate in the conference discussions around Internet development, which feed into the ITU's strategic plan for 2016 to 2019. |
