APNIC EC unanimously supports the Montevideo Statement
At its meeting on 6 December 2013, the APNIC Executive Council (EC) unanimously resolved to ratify and support APNIC's position, as stated in the Montevideo Statement.
The
Montevideo Statement addresses issues that are important to APNIC and to the future of Internet operations. These include the future performance and configuration of IANA, the broader environment of technical coordination and cooperation
of which APNIC is a member, and the deployment of IPv6.
APNIC Executive Council nominations open
Nominations for the 2014 APNIC EC election will close on 10 February. The EC election will be held on 28 February during APNIC 37. The following EC members are currently up for re-election:
- Maemura Akinori
- Che-Hoo Cheng
- Ma Yan
APNIC at SANOG 23
APNIC was in Thimphu, Bhutan for SANOG 23, which was held from 13 - 21 January. During the week, APNIC contributed several training sessions to the event.
APNIC is a
proud supporter of SANOG and many other Network Operator Groups in the Asia Pacific region.
