IPv6 for Decision Makers

Thanks to all who contributed to a new report, IPv6 for Decision Makers, compiled by the APNIC IPv6 Program. This report outlines the high-level business case for deploying IPv6 on a Service Provider network, and it includes graphical information and references curated from real IPv6 deployment experiences.

Another new resource, IPv6 for CTOs, is a flow chart to assist technical personnel starting to plan for IPv6 transition.

APNIC 20th anniversary

APNIC History Project update

This year, as APNIC celebrates its 20th anniversary, we have been working with archivists to compile the history of APNIC, which is also part of the Asia Internet History Project.

A draft of the first phase of APNIC's history is available for public comment. This chapter covers APNIC's formation and early years.

Global IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey closes 31 July

Please take a few minutes to complete the 4th Global IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey and contribute to a growing body of data on the current status of IPv6 deployment in the region and worldwide. More responses are needed from the Asia Pacific community to get a better picture of the current status of IPv6 deployment in the region.

The purpose of the survey is to better understand where the Internet community is going, and what can be done to ensure it is ready for the widespread adoption of IPv6. We hope this survey will establish a comprehensive view of current IPv6 penetration and future deployment plans for IPv6.
