Number Resource Organization

NRO Statement on WCIT

The Number Resource Organization (NRO) issued a statement on the the recent ITU (International Telecommunications Union) Conference in Dubai, WCIT-12, expressing concerns about the process and outcomes.

The NRO and APNIC strongly support the WSIS 2005 principles of multistakeholder Internet governance. APNIC will continue to participate in regional and global ITU activities as part of the NRO.

Youth Tech Camp Fiji 2012

First Pacific Youth Tech Camp

The first Pacific Youth Tech Camp in Fiji attracted more than 250 participants from Fiji, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Kiribati, American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, and New Zealand.

During the week, attendees were introduced to Internet governance and ways they can be involved by participating in national, regional, or global forums.

Register now for APNIC 35, part of APRICOT 2013 in Singapore. The joint Program Committee is now accepting submissions for presentations and tutorials on a variety of technical subjects. Nominations for the APNIC EC elections open 4 January.
