ISIF Award 2011

The Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF) will recognize creative ICT solutions to social and developmental challenges across the Asia Pacific region since 2008.

Nominations are open until 5 August across four categories:

  • Innovation and access provision
  • Localization and Capacity Building
  • Mobile Services and Applications
  • Rights and Freedom

Global IPv6 Survey

On behalf of GNKS Consulting, APNIC invites all members of the Asia Pacific Internet community to participate in the 2011 Global IPv6 Survey.

Previous results from the 2010 and 2009 surveys show that community participation contributes to a better understanding of the status of IPv6 deployment worldwide.

NRO at OECD, Paris

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) High Level Meeting on the Internet Economy was held in Paris on 27-28 June 2011.

The NRO attended this meeting as part of the Internet Technical Advisory Committee (ITAC). Vint Cerf delivered a statement to the delegation representing ITAC and the NRO.
