Description | The flood event in Brisbane is APNIC’s first test of the emergency Business Continuity Plan (BCP). The procedures and priorities in place under this plan enabled the APNIC Executive Team and Staff to maintain all Member Services throughout this difficult period. During this natural disaster no critical services were interrupted at any time, and APNIC is pleased to report that no data has been damaged or lost. All APNIC staff are accounted for and are safe. However, due to transport difficulties across the Brisbane metropolitan area, all staff were advised to continue to work from home today to ensure their safety. As the new APNIC premises were unaffected by flood waters, APNIC anticipates a complete return to normal operations by Monday, 17 January 2011. APNIC would like to thank the global Internet Community for the messages of support and thank them for their understanding at this time. Any further updates will be available via RSS feed and on the APNIC announcements page. Contact: |
