| Description | An update to the certificate on our email servers used for MTA-STS (Mail Transfer Agent Strict Transport Security) was performed incorrectly, resulting in a configuration that caused senders performing strict checks to fail and queue emails to APNIC. This delayed emails from email servers performing these checks including Google and Protonmail. Many emails sent during this period were queued by sending email servers and were delivered after we applied the fix. We will be reviewing our process for making changes to our email servers to prevent this from happening again and improving the monitoring of our email environment’s health to detect email delivery problems quicker in the future. |
