Services affected | Whois service |
Description | APNIC will be making some architectural changes to our Whois service. One of the changes is to replace our RIPE-based Whois NRTM server with IRRd version 4. AUNIC, RADB and AFRINIC sources will no longer be available as part of this change because these sources are not currently in use by any clients. All Whois query nodes will be upgraded to a newer operating system as well. The deployment will be done in an incremental rollout fashion for all regions with Whois nodes deployed. We intend to make these changes in the coming days. There is nothing that needs to be done as a result of this change but if there are unexpected issues with your Whois NRTM client, please contact APNIC at noc@apnic.net |
We apologize for the loss of facilities and any inconvenience caused. Should you require assistance in dealing with any problems arising from this outage, please contact the APNIC Helpdesk.
